debbie and andrew's super cool wedding
location...

Our wedding ceremony and reception is being held on the grounds of the Daybreak Star Cultural Center.

We have spent a lot of time in Seattle's many wonderful parks and outdoor spaces, and wanted to have our wedding in one of these locations. Daybreak Star has an incredibly interesting history and is an important cultural center for Seattle's Native American community. The center is located inside Discovery Park, one of Seattle's largest parks located on a largely inactive naval base (Ft. Lawton). The site of our ceremony (weather-permitting) overlooks Puget Sound and is situated near the Ballard locks.

The Daybreak Star Cultural Center and Discovery Park are situated in Seattle's Magnolia neighborhood, northwest of downtown Seattle. Most easily accessible by car (get directions), the site is also accessible via Metro routes 33 and 24, though a 1/4 - 1/2 mile walk may also be necessary. The last 33 bus to leave the park departs at roughly 9:30pm, while the 24 runs every 30 minutes until just after midnight.
